Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Aiera / AI Era Social approaches personal information today, while Aiera is in development, and how we intend to handle it once the mobile applications launch.
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Draft for legal review before public launch. Aiera is in development. This document describes how we intend to operate and will be reviewed and updated before the service is made publicly available.
1. Scope of this policy
Aiera is an AI-enhanced dating and social discovery platform that is currently in development. At present, the only public part of Aiera is this website and its waitlist. Sections of this policy that describe accounts, profiles, matching and messaging describe how we intend to operate once the applications are released — they do not describe a live service.
This policy is provided by Aiera / AI Era Social ([OWNER REVIEW: confirm the registered legal entity name and, if required in your jurisdiction, its registration details before launch]), referred to below as “Aiera”, “we” or “us”.
2. Information you may provide
Waitlist information
If you join our waitlist, you provide an email address. We also record which part of the website the signup came from so we can understand which pages are useful. We use this to send product and launch updates about Aiera, and for nothing else.
Account and profile information (after launch)
When the applications launch, creating an account will involve information such as your name or display name, date of birth, email address or phone number, and the photos and profile details you choose to publish. Some of this is necessary to operate a dating service — confirming that users are adults, for example.
Dating preferences and interests
Aiera is designed around context, so profiles will include information such as your interests, what you are looking for, and the preferences that shape who you want to see. You choose what to share. Some of this information may be sensitive in your jurisdiction, and we intend to handle it accordingly. [OWNER REVIEW: confirm how sensitive-category data (for example sexual orientation) will be classified and lawfully processed in each market you launch in]
Product interaction information
Once the product is live, using it will generate interaction information: profiles you like, pass on or Super Like, matches, and general activity within the app. These interactions are the signals our recommendation technology uses to improve the relevance of what you are shown.
Device and technical information
When you visit this website or use our applications, we may receive technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic analytics about how pages are used. This helps us keep the service working, secure and reasonably fast.
3. How information may be used
- To operate, maintain and improve the website and applications.
- To send waitlist, product and launch updates you have asked to receive.
- To generate profile recommendations and order what you see in discovery.
- To protect accounts, investigate abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell personal information. [OWNER REVIEW: confirm this statement against the definition of “sale” and “sharing” in every jurisdiction you operate in]
4. Recommendation and personalization systems
Aiera uses recommendation technology to decide which eligible profiles to show you and in what order. It draws on the profile information and preferences you provide, your stated intent and interests, and product interaction signals such as likes, passes and Super Likes.
These systems estimate relevance — how likely a profile is to be of interest to you and you to them. They do not determine compatibility, and they do not make decisions on your behalf. You choose who to like, who to match with and who to talk to. Where appropriate, we intend to show the kinds of signals behind a recommendation rather than presenting matching as a black box.
5. Service providers
We use third-party providers to host the website, deliver email, and understand basic website usage. These providers process information on our behalf and under contract. [OWNER REVIEW: list the actual processors in use (hosting, analytics, email, storage, any model or infrastructure vendors) before launch — none are named here because none were verified]
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, and we are building the product with security in mind from the start. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim certifications, audits or standards compliance that we have not actually obtained. [OWNER REVIEW: update this section if and when a formal security programme, audit or certification exists]
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we decide the waitlist is no longer needed. Account information will be retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards, subject to legal obligations. [OWNER REVIEW: set concrete retention periods with counsel before launch]
8. Your choices
- Communication preferences. Every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
- Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address in section 13.
- Profile and preference controls. Once the applications launch, we intend to give you controls over your profile, what you share, and the preferences that shape your recommendations.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. [OWNER REVIEW: confirm which regional privacy regimes apply and describe the specific rights and response times they require]
9. Children and minors
Aiera is intended for adults only. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us at contact@aiera.social.
10. International users
Aiera may be accessed from outside the country where our infrastructure is located, and information may be transferred and processed elsewhere. Where such transfers require a specific legal mechanism, we will put an appropriate one in place. [OWNER REVIEW: confirm hosting locations, transfer mechanisms and the governing jurisdiction before launch]
11. Changes to this policy
Aiera is in active development, so this policy will change as the product takes shape. When we make a material change we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and where appropriate we will notify people who have accounts or are on the waitlist.
12. Third-party links
Our website and future applications may link to services we do not operate. This policy does not cover those services, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
13. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold, can be sent to contact@aiera.social.
[OWNER REVIEW: add a postal address and, where legally required, a representative or data protection contact — none is stated here because none was verified]
